FASEB comments on strategies to promote postdoctoral career transitions and faculty diversity
On July 18, GSA partner FASEB submitted comments in response to a Request for Information issued by the National Institute of General Medical Sciences on “Strategies for Enhancing Postdoctoral Career Transitions to Promote Faculty Diversity.” FASEB’s response highlights activities designed to provide trainees from underrepresented groups with educational and career development opportunities and access to resources that might otherwise be unavailable.

New summer advocacy resources
GSA partner organization FASEB recently released an infographic on the benefits of biomedical research, as well as a guide to hosting a lab visit. Summer is an ideal time to advocate for science funding in the US: the House of Representatives’ recess is July 30 to September 3, and the Senate break is August 6–10.
