GSA depends on your charitable contributions to support several important programs, especially those which support the participation of early-career researchers in the professional community supported by GSA.

  • GSA New Initiatives – Supports new projects under development, like public engagement initiatives, efforts to support diversity and inclusion, the Early Career Scientist Leadership and Professional Development Program, and childcare offerings at conferences.

  • GSA General Fund – Used wherever it's needed most, including:

    • GSA poster awards – Recognizes students presenting outstanding posters at GSA conferences

    • GSA professional development programs – professional development workshops at GSA conferences, the GENETICS Peer Review Training Program, funding for local Career Development Symposia, the GeneticsCareers.org jobs board, and more.

    • GSA advocacy activities – Supports GSA efforts to advocate on behalf the genetics community with policymakers and funding agencies.
