The Genetics Society of America believes that, in this age, it is important to convene a meeting that addresses the value of model organisms for understanding diverse aspects of human biology. This meeting brings together investigators who study model organisms with investigators who study human biology and disease  and provides a dynamic forum for the exchange of results and ideas between scientists who do not normally interact.  All model organism communities are represented in this forum.  By organizing this meeting, the GSA stresses our advocacy for genetic research in model Organisms. This broad meeting is action packed with a stellar array of speakers and posters. You will return to your lab after this meeting invigorated with the promise of genetic analysis for understanding biology.
