 Schedule of Events     Register for Meeting    Abstract Search

 

The 2014 Yeast Genetics Meeting is taking place July 29 – August 3, 2014 at the University of Washington, Seattle. This is the premier meeting for students, postdoctoral fellows, research staff and principal investigators studying various aspects of eukaryotic biology in yeast. The conference will begin on Tuesday, July 29 with an opening session from 7:00 pm until 8:15 pm, followed by a Welcome Reception. The meeting will end on Sunday, August 3 at 12:00 noon.

 

On-site registration spots are still available. Attendees and non-attendees alike are invited to participate in live online discussions of the conference on Twitter under the hashtag #YEAST14.

First-time attendee reception: Members of the Organizing Committee and other leaders in the field want to personally welcome first-time attendees to the meeting. Join them at 6:00 pm on Tuesday in the Meany Hall lobby for a cookies and lemonade social.

In addition, there will be two special presentations: Jon Lorsch, Director of the National Institute of General Medical Sciences, NIH will discuss the future plans of the Institute and Gerry Fink, MIT, will give a retrospective look at Fred Sherman’s life and his impact on the field of yeast genetics research.
